Denmark is a Scandinavian country that is located north of
Germany. It consists of a peninsula as well as several islands.
The area is well known as one of the place the Vikings called
home. Today, it is a great getaway for people in Europe and from
all over the world. Home of many progressive social policies,
Denmark has come a long way from its past full of Vikings and
adventure. That's not to say it's not still a great place to
visit for vacation. With many great things to see and do,
there's sure to be something for you in Denmark.
Denmark at a Glance
Denmark is split into four main sections.

beautiful landscapes.
Zealand - This is the largest island in Denmark and is where
the capital is located.
Bornholm - This is known as the vacation island or "the Rock
island." Expect some great beaches and some churches dating back
to the Crusades.
Places to See in Denmark

most modern European cities, at least when it comes to art,
culture and the finer things in life.

villages that let you see the other side of life in Denmark.

Things to Do in Denmark
Swimming - Denmark has quite a few great places for swimming
and other water sports. It may be a bit colder certain times of
the year, but if you go in the summer, you might be surprised
with how nice it can be.
Music - Music is really big in Denmark and no matter when you
travel there, you are going to have a good chance of being able
to see a large music event.
Amusement Parks - These are really big all over Denmark, with
many amusement parks to visit during your stay.
While Denmark has a rich Viking history, the country has come a
long way over the years, and would considered by some to be a
leader in Europe in the 21st century. If you want to see old
Denmark and the Vikings or you want to see the modern Denmark,
there is going to be plenty for you to do in this Scandinavian
country. One thing you'll want to think about is the prices -
things can be quite expensive in Denmark. That doesn't mean you
shouldn't go, but be sure to bring enough money to be able to do
everything you want and be expected to pay a little more. Many
travel to eat, drink, and just relax, and Denmark has quite a
bit to offer them.
Another important thing to note is that Denmark (as a rule)
isn't big on formalities. For some this may come off as them
being rude, but this isn't the case. As long as you go into the
country expecting this, it's not really a problem. Most tourists
and visitors find the locals to be really welcoming, especially
if they're spending money and having fun. A trip to Denmark
might not be for everyone, but it's a great destination for a
wide range of people.
